I dont think so you can exit without notice, i was on bench and these guys bothered me a lot while negotiating notice period. but yes, its vulnerable to be on bench🥲 can be eliminated without notice

It basically u r not charging to the client , Accenture is bearing your cost. You cannot apply for shift allowance and u will not receive any award or appreciation from the client ( apart from shift allowance, award and appreciation are shit)
Once there is any role for you then you will be billable to the client.
In short you are a shadow resource. No shift allowance.
Someone will take all the credit for your work from client.

I don't these shits like billable or non-billable. After hardlocking to the project, as I know these terms

If you are new to Accenture, other project will reach you out as soon as you are on bench and not billable. They will get you interviewed by PO or project champion and once approved pull you in in project .generally take 15days time to get you in and start

It's because Accenture is bearing your cost and not charging to client, so in short you are not a profitable resource. It can also be client has not approved your role. Generally if people tend to charge non billable for longer time, people release them to Bench as there is role uncertainty. If you are hardlocked to project and using project non billable then there is nothing positive about that, you are increasing the cose and reducing the margin. However certain cases where you are working for capability and giving SME help to another project where you are loaned then in those cases it's fine as you are a capability resource and it's not affecting their margin. Project however may not take SME help for longer tenure.
