Trending @Accenture; Promotion/Increment Cycle moved from Dec to June ?

I read in news that Accenture is permanently moving their promotion/increment cycle from December to June, is it true ? Although one of my colleague from operations got promoted in this month. Is the promotion cycle different for Operations, ATCI & Strategy & Consulting?
