Trending @Accenture; Promotion?
My promotion for level 9 is due and in the last cycle when no hikes were given there were promotions which were given to women(thats what I was told).
So there’s a girl who got promoted(from 10 to 9) over me just because she is a bootlicker to the manager. She didn’t complete a year that time in the organisation( this is when no hikes were given across Accenture). She got 25% hike and currently has 16 LPA fixed component( I know this because she shared with her her friend in the team who is my actually friend just because she thinks I deserved the promotion)
When I had performance review meeting with my manager and his manager and they told me that they are not giving me promotion and giving the other candidate. The reason was they wanted to show diversity and they didn’t had budget for me. I have been here since 3+ years and I have all the skills, certifications and moreover dedication towards my work whereas the one who got promoted is not even competent.
Now my manager regrets it because he can see who works and who takes the work very causally. He does says that I am in pipeline for promotion but he plays it safe by saying I am not promising.
I want to know will I get promoted ?
I had given multiple interviews and most of the time I am getting rejected because of 90 days notice period.
I really feel sad because of the politics going on.

Same situation happened in my project as well, just felt like reading my own story. I'm in same boat as you.. the person you mentioned in my case started taking less work as well now 😂😂 to my surprise I don't know how does people carry that audacity to literally drop of all responsibilities (obviously fake responsibilities) which they were portraying earlier and now not even putting some efforts to fake it. 😂😂 I feel sometimes in corporate promotions are inversely proportional to work load as we climb the ladder or atleast thats how people behave when they were promoted.

The person who got promoted was purey based on her a$$ licking abilities . The person only use to work when manager was around. Though my manager is smart enough to figure that out but guy being a guy.
So I am asking Will there be a chance for my promotion in this cycle as my manager did said but clearly said I am not promising anything.

As I told you earlier, your story is same as mine, even I confronted my spineless manager recently. he has given me uncertain answers. His tone has confidence that my case is doable but he also involved words like can be checked next cycle as well based on the situation he even quoted Ajay vij email. His response to my phone call went as a surprise to him, he clearly didn't have me on his mind for June, anyways we don't know how many slots were given to him for June. He is basically playing games till he finds a better replacement. I have no idea if this person wants me at the next level or not. Never gave genuine workday feedback no awards, (whereas I was getting great awards in my earlier deal) he is always just giving carrots that you guys are really imp to me etc etc These guys are shady af.

You joined at what level?

?

10

You will see this situation in most companies and not just Accenture. If NP is an issue then resign and start trying. You have to take a risk. Worse case scenario, you can take your papers back. Generally HR pushes the managers to ask their team members to take the resignation back because hiring a new team member is a pain.

Yes I am thinking of same, i will put down the papers and try to search. Thank you

You are not alone mate, happened in my team, and a few other teams that my friends are working on,

How many years of experience do you have?

Same here bro
