Trending @Accenture; Project Roll off
I am working on a project with high pressure and long work hours since last 10 months. Due to the nature of the project, most of my team members ( including PM)left and the current team is entirely new. Due to stress and long hours, I have developed health problems including severe back pain and insomnia. I have asked the new PM for release or leave as I can't continue with such hours and pressure. Given I am the only core team member left, there is major client dependency on me. But I have doctors advice to avoid stress and exertion. What are the odds of me getting a release or leave? What else can I do in this situation? PS: I am also contemplating a resignation but that would be my last resort as it's just the project that's bad and overall I have no complaints from Accenture.

As you have client dependency you won't be getting a roll of soon, I will suggest taking a planned week off so they have to handover some of your work to some other resources and once your vacation is over you don't have to take it all back😉

This^, a fight with leadership is sure way to get yourself in trouble. Rather try to force their involvement by sharing out your work to other members of your team.
However you should also realise that having the dependency also gives you a hold over them through which you can demand flexibility and compensation that they usually would not give anyone. I've seen this happen in other projects and mine as well.

I faced the same situation, i stopped taking tasks on myself...i developed a liver issue dye to extra work press and that pressure messed with my lifestyle. I completely stopped taking tasks, so I started assigning them to other team members. Finally they gave me a roll-off. Probably this isn't the right way...but for me it worked. Also i had support from my all tam members.

They will release if you have medical certificates from doctors and you say them that you have healthconverns.i got releases from project as I have health concerns

It seems to be same everywhere. In my project too this is the scenario. My last option is resignation. Till then try your best to get rolloff and simultaneously try outside Accenture.

This exactly what I'm going through in Accenture. Manager won't even release me from the project

Try to push hard for release and fight with ur pmo even involved your md or leadership of project. Definitely they can't force you to work m either they should add new team members to release your stress or they should leave you put these options I am sure they won't deny. Or worst stop giving productivity after work hours. They will know that u need support.
