Why a employee is forced to do mandatory trainings that has nothing to do with his job profile?

Certification in specific domain is still fine but other things are just time waste.

Learning is never a waste especially when you move up the ladder. Give enough time to learn and your skill base is properly set. If it is an internal tool, please do learn how they have done it and what features for a specific use case they have done. All the best!
