Trending @Accenture; Planning not to RTO

Three years of hard work, 12-hour days, and the only reward I get is denial after denial—no promotions, no increments, and now they expect me to spend almost half my salary living in a city I don’t even want to be in. All for what?

There’s no logical reason for me to uproot my life and leave my family when the work gets done just fine from home. If they want to fire me for that, let them. I’ve reached the point where peace of mind is worth more than being exploited.

Corporate overlords love to talk about flexibility and employee satisfaction, but when push comes to shove, they choose control. I’m choosing myself.

You are right. Stand your ground. Family and peace of mind are more important than corporate demands.

Try to change your base location to your home town and see if you get lucky first!

Wouldn’t matter. The closest office location is 400 kms away. Plus that’s not the point. When I was hired I was assured wfh on an unconditional basis. Not going to give into unreasonable demands now.

If your work is really important, they will never be able to fire you
