Trending @Accenture; Placed as Business Architect in Accenture after MBA — mostly doing SAP configs, T-codes, and backend stuff.
I recently joined Accenture post-MBA in a role titled “Business Architect.” Thought it would involve strategy, client workshops, and business process design. But so far, it’s all SAP configuration, T-codes, backend settings feels very functional/technical.
Is this common in early roles at Accenture? Has anyone successfully moved from SAP-heavy roles to business/strategy consulting internally (or externally)?
Any advice or stories from people who made this shift would be a huge help

At least you are from mba doing non tech thing. I joined as software engineer and doing sap functional consulting 😂

I joined 7 years back after doing my MBA as a L9 and was put into a testing role citing that I'll learn the product. Initially I wasn't happy since I wasn't involved in client calls and was just doing testing. Took me around 2 years to get a proper consultant role as a junior and then further 2 more years to get a lead consultant role. It takes some time for Accenture to trust you with facing the client but it depends on your lead and your own initiative. I used to often go to my division head for a consultant role and be visible and used to ask to join client calls even though just for sitting.

They give this only . U can search find and resign as per your expectations
