Trending @Accenture; PIP Process Clarification

Hi folks, I need some clarity on Accenture performance cycles and PIP. During the November performance discussion, I was told I’d be put on PIP and assigned 4 tasks to complete, after which the PIP would be cleared. However, it’s been over a month now, no formal PIP communication or task details have been shared, and I’m continuing my project work as usual. Is this normal? How is PIP usually handled across performance cycles (especially December cycle)? Any insights would help.

If you have completed a minimum of one year from the date of joining in Accenture then they can put you in pip and if you are still in probation or one year is not completed then they are helpless, they can't put you in pip.

They might have put you in pip because your peers performed better than you in less CTC and you are in higher salary bracket so they want to do cost cutting

Your people lead or your hr can only confirm if they are putting you in pip or not, no other person can help other than people lead or HR partner

They told means they will surely put you in pip if you don't perform well as per their expectations

Performing well includes:

  1. Completing all the assigned tasks and taking extra tasks and also providing proper update on your work, here they should be fully aware that what you worked on, like you have to get inside their mind that yes you have worked.
  2. Planning leaves and RTO mandates
  3. Completing all assigned mandatory learning activities.
  4. Always be transparent and expect transparency from them
  5. Document your priorities well and always check in with you people lead for growth action

To avoid pip one must follow cip Pip: performance improvement plan
Cip: Continuous improvement plan

Key difference: Pip is a disciplinary action which may lead to termination if goals are not achieved and so much will be assigned to you within a time frame of 30 days

But

Cip is continuously growing habit which cultivates a life long learner/ continuous learning habits.

I have completed 3 years. They said I am performing well. but before joining this project I am on bench .so they said I am on PIP. They said only Variable pay and Hike will impact. No impact on My job. PIP will be cleared.

Still this is humiliation, pip means performance improvement plan,if you were on bench then what was your fault, you didn't refuse to work right, in this scenario Accenture should put themselves on pip and look within themselves. The hr and managers should be put on pip who can't manage resources effectively, the pmo

All PIP processes for the December cycle outcome are planned to be started in the first week of January. If your December cycle outcome was IP, you will soon hear from your PL and HRPA around your PIP this week or early next week. Also, PIP is a 4 week process where each week has an outcome tied to it. In order to successfully complete and get out of PIP, you must clear all 4 outcomes. If any one of those is unsuccessful, the overall PIP is unsuccessful.

What kind of tasks are given there? If pip is unsuccessful then, what happens? I didn't get to know in dec statement beyond zero hike, that I'm CTGL or IP, can I assume if it wasn't mentioned then, that it isn't IP?
