Trending @Accenture; PIP cleared, resigned anyway

I put on PIP. Today, I was informed that I have cleared it.

What’s interesting is that during this period, I was doing less work than I usually do. Just did the bare minimum. The outcome made it very clear that performance was never the real concern.

I was put on PIP so that they don’t have to give any hike, bonus or promotion. PIP is not used as a performance improvement tool, but as a cost-control mechanism.

Once the outcome was released, I chose to resign.
