Yes we can If you want to resign just mention in the mail that you want early release and your are ready to pay the amount.

How is the buyout/payout amount being calculated here?

You will have earned leave from their they will deduct. Recently my friend got early release with payout option. He wanted to serve only 30 days he had 45days earned leaves it was coming around 90k.
So HR deducted 87k from this.
