Can I reduce my notice period based on health grounds? If yes, how can I go about it? And will this mean I'll get paid for only the months of notice I do?
They denied my request even though AMD of my project is ready to release me. I m not on any project and I don't even open my laptop.. still they are not ready to reduce the notice period by 1 day..

If someone is on the bench, then can the notice period will be cut down?
You can reduce notice period on health grounds. Case will be reviewed by HR team and upon successfully satisfied they allow. You will get paid only for days notice period served.
Without health reasons there is no way they can reduce notice period even if you ready to buyout notice period.
