I have put down my paper today, and I don't have a good relation with my manager. Can anybody tell me what all torture can I expect from my manager and how to tackle them ? Also, should I tell him the name of my new employer if manager asks me ?

Answer to 1st qus - if such is the case how you've explained, consider your notice period as normal day. Answer to 2nd qus - since you're not going to marry your manager, tell him the truth or lie to him, doesn't matter. He won't be able to do anything.
In the notice period you will work for only 9 hours. Why are you so worried about your manager. Your manager also has a fear because you are in notice period. Just complete the assignment which will be assigned to you. Don't behave harshly with your manager and try to build a good rapo. Everything will be good.
You don't have to tell any details you don't want to I directly tell my manager and hr that I am not comfortable disclosing such details. A person will be assigned to take care of your exit and they will give you some formalities to complete and you have to finish them that's it.
There is no way they can torture you just do your work if they give extra work just do how you usually do. For any extra work say that you don't have bandwidth let it accumulate to next day.
If we resign and if the company offers us to retain then from when that promotion or hiked salary will be applicable?
Why are you worrying...don't tell the name of the new company now and there is no such torture just try collect quickly whatever you need..like form 16 n all
