Trending @Accenture; Notice period extension

Can a notice period be extended ? As i have my LWD on 10th oct 2025 but i am thinking my supervisor is purposely assigning me work items now at the last moment and those are critical ones. And when I am asking for a on call discussion to discuss about the work item and trying to close it but he is not bothered about it . Please advise me on the same

if your pending work is not completed on time? the manager have access to escalate the issue to HR to extend your LWD.. yes they can extend

No pending work , they are purposely extending the work items and simply doing timepass even I am pushing to get it complete

then you can escalate the same to your people adviser … just convey the concern to HR for safer side

If your LWD is on 10th oct then no matter how much work they will give you last working day is last only

That's purely a rumor spreaded by few managers that notice period will be extended, because policy doesn't allow it, its violation of employment agreement if company doesn't honor it.

They cannot extend your LWD and you start showing progress in your work. Stay away for sometime. 1 day tell them you are sick and will be away for sometime. If there is no progress why would they rely on you?

It's impossible. It'll became a legal problem for the company. Won't happen.

They can't unilaterally increase the notice period. They need consent from you. I think there are legal issues if they try to do something like this.
