I've seen some profiles in teams in their reports to it shows no one nothing at all like no reports to option does that mean those people are on bench or are interns ?

It means that person is in a non managerial role or an Individual Contributor. I am an L7 but an Individual Contributor, and no one reports me.

No reports doesn't mean anything to speculate, there can be number of reasons, like person could be new joiner, person is in a non people management role, could be possible one is part of big team where this role of people management is performed by someone else, or one is in individual contributor role like technical architect or solution architect.
