Hey everyone,
Just wanted to check if anyone else has been in a similar situation — I was initially taken into a support project but later pulled into an internal dev track (Informatica/SQL-based) where I’m now handling both dev and support responsibilities. After a few internal changes, I’m the only one left managing things, and it’s been a bit overwhelming — especially with tight deadlines, weekend work, and lack of clarity on prioritization.
Curious to know — is this kind of workload split common in other projects too? How’s the team culture and support structure in your projects, especially when it comes to realistic expectations and bandwidth?
Just trying to understand if it’s a one-off case or a common scenario. DMs are welcome too. Appreciate any honest inputs .

Its same for mny ppl...in my team, entire responsibility of a particular thing is on me with no one guide or tell anything...and the onshore lead is good for nothing, knows only to put pressure and sheds load off her head while making you all accountable for the deliverable..juggling btwn unclear guidance n unrealistic expectations..

The same is happening with me as well, but from the start I am very clear to DU lead, that I'll only help as long as my other priority project. And I never agreed to work on the sat sun, they'll just exploit you. Speak up and speak up politely

It's common, but usually in such cases I prefer my manager to prioritise work, and fight with various stakeholders.

It's everywhere, you need to speak up and ask for help or else start not doing all the work, this way they'll understand
