Trending @Accenture; My people lead surprised me with PIP

I joined Accenture last year in oct and I had some health issues, financial problems due to which I was not performing well, Had a call with HR around dec, after that I had call with people lead twice and they were giving neutral feedbacks but didn't tell anything on PIP, suddenly today he is saying about PIP that 4-5 weeks PIP I will be put on and if I fail that would lead to termination, All ever the internet I have heard only negative things about PIP, What should I do? I am completely clueless First time in 5 years I will be on PIP And I asked them that they didn't tell in last 2 calls then they are saying they are putting those resources on PIP whom had challenges in performances in this performance cycle.

Don't worry is the first step, impact would be 0% hike but not sure on the VP%. Your first priority would be to get out of PIP. Even managers are under pressure to get people out of PIP. So with a little effort you can get out of it, they have put you mostly because this time HRs have asked them to put a certain percentage of people in PIP. Then you can ask for a release or move out of Accenture.
