I wanted to share an experience I’m currently facing within our company regarding the TechLeap exam and subsequent promotions.
In January 2024, I successfully cleared the TechLeap exam, which is designed for fast-track promotions. Despite this achievement, I’ve encountered significant delays and mixed messages from various departments. Initially, my manager indicated that techleap promotions were dependent on backend processes, not managerial input. However, when I reached out to the HR team, they informed me that promotions depend entirely on project requirements.
Due to these conflicting statements, I missed the March promotion cycle. Recently, when I followed up with my manager, I was told they might reconsider for the June cycle. However, I’m starting to feel uncertain about whether any concrete actions are being taken.
I am sharing this to shed light on the challenges faced even after meeting the necessary criteria for promotion. I hope this brings attention to the need for clearer communication and a more streamlined process to ensure that employees' efforts and achievements are rightfully recognized.
