If we do not get any hike or promotion then what is the point of this mid year discussion?

Yeah there are lot of people who are with Accenture from 10+ years
I don't know how they survived without hikes or Little hikes Probably these kind of guys definitely have good financial background or other income sources ..not dependent in Accenture salary

They're doing because they measure our performance. If there is hike or not but we have to keep our performance excellent (to keep your monthly salary credit in your bank account) For performance discussion only they're doing this. If you ask for hike/promotion they will simply say Economy is uncertain, we have lower our revenue forecast.

They ask our team to fill self reflection on priorities, I feel its just a formality process.

That's what I said then what is the point of this so called mid year discussion, just to tell u that u are not doing good in other ways and have to perform much better to get promotion or any hike. A budget excuse is given everywhere , every year and by every manager. Do not fall for any trap, better to switch if u are getting any gud option.
