I am in my current project (L10) for around 5 yrs now (with 1 promotion) and will need to go on maternity leave next month. I have informed my reporting manager about my plans in advance (Aug end) so that they can make necessary arrangements during my absence. I want to know what is the process in such cases, will I remain tagged to my current project or will I be moved out from the project before going on MAT. Right now I am not planning to join back this project due to work pressure and lower growth opportunities and I assume that I will have the choice of whether to continue with the same project or not but I am not aware about the process currently.
Can someone share what is the process afterwards and how can I make sure that I don't remain stuck to the same project post maternity leave?

All depends on your manager, if your position is filled you'll mostly be on bench when you return. And will be out of the project, but say if you're irreplaceable they'll take you back on project once you're back

No project will take if you want to move before MAT leave....during MAT leave you will be on the same project Once you are back you can raise concern with your manager for work life balance ask them to move to bench and they may release ,look for different project

Once you go on mat leave, you'll still be tagged to your current project only... once you'll join back after your mat leave, you'll still be tagged to your current project... they cannot remove you until 90 days is completed... if you don't want to work in the current project then you'll have to talk to your lead in the current project once you are back and they'll set a roff off for you from the project with 90 days notice period
