Trending @Accenture; Manager is discouraging me from pursuing MBA
I've been in Accenture for 2 years in HR consulting and recently decided my plan for further studies. Had a word with my manager so that they can arrange for my letter of recommendations when the need arises.
They're actively dissuading me from going for it, saying my career will likely suffer abroad, and I'll grow much more at Accenture. How tf am I supposed to believe that, when I'm literally being paid pennies, and don't have a sight for how to earn more.
I know Accenture brand is great, but I don't think I'm made to be a lifetimer here. I want to leverage it to do better. How do I convince my manager here??
Umm, that's quite strange, I've not usually seen that happen at Accenture Most folks understand that going abroad is part and parcel
I think you should just have a conversation after thinking deeply, and just explain your strongest reasons for further studies. They'll get it!
