Gimme the best possible tips before I put in notice in 2 weeks. How to Max leave encashments, planned leaves, best use of policy. Im in gurugram….

Extra leave expires on August end, so try to get exit before that. All Full and Final calculation happens on Basic Pay, so remove all allowance and shift to basic, even cut PF and NPS if possible.

extra leave- do u mean earned leaves beyond the rollover limit?

Yes, I think earned leave above 30 will expire, so maximum leave will be available by August end

We work 22 days in a month so if you have 22 earned leave that will be equivalent to one months salary
Now calculate your like that, different location have different upper limit to the number of days you can encash

Either have a very good rapport with your manager or finish all casual leaves and floating public holidays before putting papers as they don't allow any leave apart from strictly necessary Sick Leaves during NP and only earned leaves are considered for encashment.

I heard it's it's 1 day's basic pay ×no of earned leaves

Make sure your basic is maximum in the compensation plan. This will give you more cash for leave balance and even your gratuity will be maximized
