It's second year in Accenture with no hikes and very leads VP. I was supposed to be promoted as promised by my team lead and manager, but didn't get it, reason being project isn't giving out promotions and I should wait for June as I'm top of the list. The project is now moving into implementation of SAP public cloud which is an exciting opportunity and I'm a part of that team and have starting working on it. But I'm in a dilemma, should I wait for another 6-8 for promotion and the good opportunity of learning implementation (which is kinda rare) or should I look for opportunities elsewhere.
Please provide some opinions, it's important and I'm confused regarding my career now.

Your managers have not promised you to provide you high promotion. They were just hoping that you may get in promotion and I think this is same across entire industry. You can’t rely on the fact that infect your managers and their teams also have don’t have direct authority to promote you this time. The overall business was down, so you can’t expect promotion, and this is going to stay for next 2 to 3 years.

If there is a scope to learn and improve your skills be a better person than you are currently with skill, after 6 months take a call

Same is the story with me I can understand
