Me? I wish I knew about the fact that I could work harder than my colleague but he would do bootlicking to get promoted faster than I ever would. 🤡

Those who will do less hand's on work and do more verbal licking to management will be promoted only so start putting your POV in every fucking smallest thing and butter everyone. That's the only secret of moving above and above at Accenture

I wish I knew Accenture has poor commercial management that crisis in Russia - Ukraine will impact appraisal in India.

Although Accenture has clients , money to acquire a number of startup and money to start new branch in tier 2 cities. Accenture still lacks of money to give handsome appraisal

Accenture values communication and presentation skills highly if you are a Team Leader or above.

If you are a resource below a team lead then you are expected to slog it out and be flexible to stretch during client deployments or if something goes wrong.

If your skill is in demand then you are a star as you will make more money for Accenture.

If your is not in demand and you don’t upskill then you are no less than a doormat unfortunately.

There are many talented people who do not have skill but they have survived because they know the art of survival - you can also call it bootlicking or any other term. This however is common for many companies.

Accenture values certifications, white papers and patents because it makes them look good and it is easier to get you placed in a client project.

Dumb people who cannot write a where condition in SQL query will get promoted because they had AWS dumps and your year end hike will be 0 because you failed in Techleap(selected something that was related to project💀). Although tech leap was meant for fast track promotion but it will be used as a tool to justify not giving any hike.

Work your ass off in project but at the time of hike, WFO status, certification, Proficiency tech leap score will matter more than your project contribution.

You can be assigned to any project irrespective of skill set which makes your time wasted and then taking roll off takes lots of efforts....instead join medium size mnc or small company easy to move and change technology

Few facts abot Accenture ATCI to be precise:

  1. Bootlicking and flattery works here. You may be skill less but if you know flattery and doing haan ji Sir, aap mahan ho Sir, you will rise.
  2. Do Haanji Haanji for the top folks, AD and above. Find a godfather/godmother, AD level and above. Godfather says write PoV/ blog/white paper in topic you are clueless about, you write. Godmother says hang upside down from ceiling, you hang. Then things work.
  3. Stay billable and do crappy work for client while burning away years of your career. I have awesome consultants( the ones who give gyan on linkedin) doing such crappy work, work you cannot write on your resume without looking like a looser.
  4. Do client work while keeping Godfather from advisory / capability happy.
  5. Be a female, have a different gender identity, be differently abled. You will get favoured in the name of DEI. DEI spells DIE, where your career dies if you are in the genral quote.
  6. That variable is nothing short of a hoax. Accen’chor’ will give 25% of the amount, and this reduces further. In conclusion, this has been the worst org I ever worked for, pays peanuts, you are lost in huge ocean, floating directionlessly. 1.5 months left till, this sham ends. Aahh just remembered, 3 months NP is absolute BS.

I want to switch my career to Salesforce from cloud support and testing....do you have any suggestions.although i do have some basic knowledge of Salesforce and had an hand on experience on trailheads...I already talked to my manager and lead about the certification but still it is quitr difficult for me to get voucher..also enrolled in S2S program which is not started at all......please help
