Trending @Accenture; Is there any criteria that we need to stay at office for 9 hours?

Chill!! Min 15 mins is enough. I just stay 4 hours and return back to home every week.

As of now i have seen if u visit office and get out in 15 mins your attendance is marked. But beware, your manager might be spying on you and it might come up in the performance review

ya I mean is it mandatory to stay 9 hours because I usually stay for around 8 hrs or so because my home is far from office , but recently saw my manager’s message in project group that we need to stay at least 9 hrs, he also said either do 9 hrs in single day or make it 4.5 hr for 2 days.
There is no official message like that’s why I am asking.

My suggestion is spend some good time in office, once you visit the office you can easily spend some 5-6 hours which include some office work, gossips, coffee breaks, Lunch etc.
If there is any emergency you can leave in 1 hour but if visiting a office 1 days a week, try to spend spme good amount of time.

It is not mandatory to stay for 9 hrs , you can return back in 2-3 hours also if not any issues from your manager side. No one is tracking how many hours u are staying in the office..just you need to punch your card once in a week

When we see our two week marksheet no any point raise there related to working hours

I don't think they are tracking the time (yet).

On paper, yes, practically, no

I have a small kid at home and by the time the shift closed the daycare would be closed for over 3 hours hence I have requested my manager to work for 5 hrs from office which he agreed and hence I am following the same with his approval... Whether or not we need to spend 9 hours is dependent on the manager's discretion...

Not till now, just swipe is enough.
