I'm currently in a chargeable client project but i don't like this project much as there's nothing interesting and is not completely inclined with my skills that I've trained.
I want to make an internal switch, Will my manager refuse it, what will be the possible consequences after i ask my manager for roll off.
I know it's going to be awkward, as they might give me some serious and vicious looks and might face some negativity in the team later if I don't get a new project or roll off from the current one.
Any insights?
It totally depends upon your manager, client and project recruitment lead ,they don't easily release resource unless the contract is close to renewal or employe resignation. However if they do let you go they often release you during the appraisal cycle so that they don't have to raise your salary in either project and get to hire additional resources if the project budget increase.
