Trending @Accenture; I would appreciate your honest advice

A bit about myself: 25F. Overall 3.5 years of work experience and Accenture is my third company. At Accenture I'm at level 11.3

Guys, I joined Accenture in November 2023. Its only been 6 months, but I've regretted joining it since day one. I recently received an offer from Company X with only a 15% increase. Considering this offer, I thought about resigning. However, after discussing it with my manager, she questioned why I would switch for just a 15% increase and pointed out that by November 2024, I'll be eligible for a sublevel change, which will give me at least a 10% increase within the next 5 months. She also mentioned that changing jobs now could impact my future stability. She advised me to consider this as a friend, but ultimately, the decision is mine.

If there's one thing that I'm sure about is that I don't want to continue working at Accenture. However considering hikes, promotions, and my stability factor, would you think it's a wise decision to switch immediately? Or will it be advisable to stay here for a while ( at least 1-1.5 years Max ) and then consider switching.

Please advise.

As a senior. I will definitely suggest that don’t switch just because of 15 or 20% of hike. Please consider at least 80 to 100% increase when you have less than six or seven years of experience. why do you want to switch for only 15% hike? in Accenture, it’s very simple for first two years. You just get basic hike, and after that, if you will stay with Accenture, then definitely every three years you have one promotion and you need to showcase your skills. So definitely after every three years, your salary will increase by 30 to 40% and right now since you have already in two companies previously now Accenture as your third company, so with just 3.5 years of experience, I will suggest that please stay in Accenture for another for five years. After that, you should consider for switching. please think from long-term view because having so many come in your resume. After 10 years of experience will definitely hurt you at the future stage. I hope I am able to explain you and clear your doubts.

You can see yourself you 3.5 exp your is third company . It will affect the resume you need atleast stay one year then switch with better hike not 15% atleast 40 to 60%

I would never suggest working for a company that you regret joining from day one. Regardless of the stability factor or the hike numbers, if you are not happy, you should switch. Once you find a company that you love working for, stay for as long as you enjoy. Mental piece takes the highest priority in my opinion. You can’t buy that with money when you regret and despise the job and work every single day. Just my 2 cents. As your manager said, at the end, the decision is yours.

According to my experience i joined Accenture in December 2022 and now it has been almost 1.5 years. I have a wonderful experience working here with good and supportive manager . I feel good level of flexibility in my job when keeping in mind about the job work hours and my personal life. I hope this experience is going to be much better and awesome with the time I spent at this organisation. I am working as SOC analyst (in cybersecurity field) and our team is present 24×7 defending the client environment.

It's all good until you realise there is nothing to learn here just a few Inc's , reaching out to the users for confirmation, supporting the project, doing the same stuff all day.

As a fellow employee, I would suggest you to RUN any company in better shelter than this TRAP HUT. I've been stuck here for the last 4 years!

They have ruined my life and career, it's not too late and who says jumping and switching is bad they are the most stupid stargazers, you have to jump to grab the opportunities. They don't come around again knocking on your door.

I listened to my people lead and manager they gave similar false hopes and now I'm regretting it like anything, don't betray your GUT FEELING, Just RUN and FLY to a better horizon.

Hi fellow struggler , I honest advice is not to change company now you will definitely get hike in 2024 because the hikes are paused in 2023 dec so to retain talent the hikes are mandatory for them. Band change 10% is not fixed you may get 16% also but not less than 10%. If there is good budget you may get promoted too. Good thing you let your manager know about your new job offer they take you serious and that you something to prove and bright talent. And if manager l8 don’t know about this new offer try to highlight this don’t limit yourself with l9 try conversation regarding your career growth with l8 or l7 whoever comfortable with you. Accenture don’t have hierarchy limitations , utilize it. And don’t ever change company for 15% always try negotiate 30% to 80% , if it’s 30% try to grab another offer with another 15% so you may land at 45% hike. If you drop papers for 15% and try for another company their can low ball you so careful.

Simple advice.. listen to yourself. If you listen to others and things don't work out then you will become more bitter and the feeling is worst. Just do what you think will give you peace of mind 10% - 15% doesn't matter.
