Trending @Accenture; I’m done with Accenture!!

It’s been 3.5 years I have been working for accenture religiously without any hike or promotion expect the one I had received post clearing the tech leap exam.. it’s so disappointing to be part of such toxic work culture encouraging organization! When I ask for hike I’m asked to take extra certifications , erudition sessions and publish a white paper along with working for more than 15 hours per day.. Yesterday I put down my papers without an offer in hand.. I was scared af to do it but I cannot do it anymore working without a personal life I’m okay to be unemployed but not ready to work where I’m not being recognized and appreciated . I’m sure the kind of hard work I put in the company I can get far better opportunity anywhere with some hard work. Today I got an Ace award for the hard work I put in for the past 1.5 years working for a project.. I just don’t feel happy about it thinking of the time I lost for self. I hope I get an offer before I complete my notice period!🤞

@AptOutback3 yes exactly. I think, almost everyone giving their 100% at Accenture can relate to it because we are never valued for the work we do. Just like OP, I too think of quitting everyday, but my current situation doesn't allow me to quit without an offer in hand.

In my project, a whole dev team resigned due to the same reason. Accenture is not giving any hike from the last 2 years. I also gave 10-12 interviews in span of 6 months, but didn't get any offer yet. Hoping for a good offer soon

Even in my team almost 12people had resigned which was more than half of the team and even I was adviced long ago to resign but I was considerate and hope that Accenture will recognize my contributions but it didn’t happen..I had applied for more than 25 companies previously in the last 6 months didn’t get a single call for interview but now the market is good and I’m getting lot of interviews scheduled just concentrate and believe in yourself you will land good offers soon!

I do have same experience. I am career level 9 resourse and been working in Accenture from past 3 yrs. Got Ace award in last June and PIp in la January. So frustrating that putting lot of efforts in a project and got pip. I was expecting a promotion.

Sry to hear your situation, but still I think you became lil impatient while dropping the papers. Regardless how frustrating the situation (except few scenarios), I think you should have waited for atleast an offer and then dropped your papers.
it is true that if not most of us, but atleast 50% people are facing the same issue. This is also true that this situation you'll not only face in Accenture, but in the rest of the service based companies as well. After all, people from Accenture goes to other companies and vice versa. It is us, wo create the work environment, company is just a tag. But switching company might give you an opportunity to be in the other side of spectrum, there are people who respect others and are level headed. Who understands work life balance and fights for their team members during appraisal cycle. I wish you get such team members in your upcoming journey. Try to get another offer soon. Best wishes

I agree with your view.. definitely it is us who create the environment.. I have given my best to my team and I would continue to do that in future too but hike nd promotions are one reason but I see myself stuck in career and not getting any support or proper guidance to pave my way for future so i wanted to come out of the loop! I respect your opinion completely .. I would take it in a positive way all the hardships I have faced in the company have made me strong for future..

Dude I'm having same situation. 2.5y of exp no hike apart from tech leap. I got ACE award too and they're not even letting me change project. They're like I'm being impatient

Probably the best decision you have ever taken! Couldn't relate more than this. Toxic work ✅ No Hike ✅ Award (that feels nothing) ✅. Have been in the same situation for almost a year plus and I couldn't take it anymore. The burnt out is for real and even I took the same decision as yours, don't listen to others of you should have had patience to do this or not blah blah..., Trust me even the notice period won't feel like notice period here but I would suggest you to set boundaries and level up your skills and find the best offer you deserve

Same experience. Im working from last 3 years and no hike no promotion very less VP. Work pressure is hell. Team got shrinked from 7 to 2 only. And they are still management is not at all in concern.

Mental health.. personal life.. career growth.. finance got F#%D like anything.

Keep looking by updating your resume and status as serving notice period...hope that works for offers...else you can try freelancing. Trust me all mnc s are going into this strategy. So no matter where u go, draw a line on ur work hours.
