Trending @Accenture; Hr rejected my wfo exception request

I would love to name the hr here, but won't. He rejected my wfo exception request without even reaching out to me, or asking for supporting documents. What action should I take? Need your advice, please.

Seems like they have been told to reject all the requests irrespective of the reasons.

What kind of behaviour is this? Can we report it some higher authorities?

Unless it's a medical reason where you're bed ridden, I don't think they would accept a WFO exception request. The reasoning is everyone has stuff going on at home and you need to accept that we have to start working from office eventually and other companies have already started WFO

I agree. BUT how about the people who really can’t come to office and have a genuine reason which may put their health at risk travelling to office for a day that too mostly case is like team is from different location.
My only concern is what is exception? As per me exception is something that is restricting you to do something that normally we can. On top of these “exception people” would waste most of the time taking care of themselves at office/home away from home whereas at proper home the productivity will be much more than in office. I AM ONLY TALKING FOR PEOPLE WHO REALLY NEED THIS EXCEPTION. (One of them is me)

I know three people who got WFO approved. They had geniune reasons and raised thr exceptions with all required details. Almost 50% people are raising these exceptions. If you are not making your point strong and clear, don’t expect HR to run behind you and ask for required details.

Suggestion is to raise anothe exception, attach all required documents and make your point loud and clear. If your reason is genuine enough, it will be approved for sure. Yes, take to your people lead first and keep him/her in sync. People lead have good say in exception approval by HR

What I came to know exceptions mainly in cases like physically challenged or returning mother. All other exceptions will be under tight scrutiny as people will come with man made exceptions …..if your case is rejected then better to discuss first with your manager and du lead and take du lead support if your exception is genuine.
