Trending @Accenture; How to get released from a support project at Accenture?
Hey folks, I’m currently stuck in a support project at Accenture, but my interest and skill set are in backend development. I requested a release and my manager initially responded positively, but then went on leave. Meanwhile, the team suddenly gave me full access to the support project (which was pending for a month), likely to lock me in.
I also mentioned that I have a dev project opportunity lined up, but things seem stalled now.
What’s the best way to push for a release professionally without burning bridges? Would appreciate any advice.

No other way than involving HR, if manager doesn't corporate. Otherwise you are on mercy of managers and mostly they are shit.
Give suggestions like have a resource I'll train him give KT or give me development work I want to grow.
No other way

I also messaged hr but she is not responding at all. And the other party is ready to take me. They can also wait for me.

Then email keeping all leads specially du lead and before that talk to du lead it should get sorted, it's good if you have a project available

If you are in support from long time then definitely you can ask for release and they will plan it in one or two months as other mentioned in comment. This will be difficult if you just joined project. But either way process will be same. You’re right HR never responds.

Thanks for your suggestion as it's only been 1 month since I joined that project. As expected they declined my request.

If you want release from a project, you must be at career level 11 or above. Also, you must have completed 18 months in the project. If you qualify above two, congratulations you can get the release from your project. Talk with your HR directly shows your interest in your desired technology and certificates for the same. HR must be helping you.

Also, drop an official mail to HR instead of just making requests through Teams chat.

Last option is resignation. Then tell them them that give me roll off and then withdraw resignation
