Trending @Accenture; How to file ITR? First ITR, no idea, opened taxspanner, got confused, any suggestions?

Login to IncomeTaxIndia portal.

Apply for Tax Filing Consider you have salary from only salary , choose ITR1 ( Check applicability of ITR Form)

Each form has sections

1. Personal Details ( Verify Name , Adhaar Number , Add , Phone Number ) etc. this is usually prefilled from PAN . Choose New Tax Regime.

2. Income Details ( Verify income reported from Form 16 , if you have add income from Dividend , SB Interest etc Check form 26 AS)

3. Check Deductions ( Usually if you are doing NPS through Employer )

4. Verify TAXPaid ( Form 16 / 26AS ) from Employer

5. pay tax ( if any)

Submit & Verify return using Adhaar.

You are done
