Trending @Accenture; How to change job family from Business and Technology Integration to Consulting?

I joined Accenture in 2025 post my MBA as a Team Lead at Career Level 9. Currently, I am working on a client project where all my peers are also at CL-9; however, they belong to the Consulting career track and were hired from similar-tier B-schools as mine. I have observed a significant difference in compensation between the Consulting and my current career track, despite being at the same level, having comparable educational backgrounds, and delivering similar responsibilities on the same project. I am very keen to laterally move into the Consulting career track at the same level (CL-9) so that my compensation, growth trajectory, and day-to-day work align better with my MBA specialization in Marketing and my long-term career goals. Is this kind of internal career-track switch feasible, and what would be the process/timeline for the same? Will the package be also similar ?

Are the chances high that his salary will be increased following the S&C structure in the next hike cycle?

I have similiar story, got a call once since I had applied for Internal Job Posting. HR said she loves the profile and leadership loved your profile. We would like to connect with you. Then she said which org are you currently working. I said I had applied for IJP. She said "Oh, let me talk to leads once,I thought this is off Accenture hiring list I have". And I never got the Call Back.

So Switching the company is your best bet.

Keep trying on workday. But chances are very less. Since company is getting same work from you by paying less, why will they increase your pay to get the same work. They don't care about your goals. Stop expecting this from them.
