Can I reach out to people from another project while being hardlocked to present DU?
I believe if you are hardlocked, there may not be much you can do. One option could be to clear another interview and then request the new manager to speak with the manager who has hardlocked you.
In my case, when I was informed that I would be released from a project in the North America market, I began searching for data engineering related projects. Initially, I would inquire about the project to see if it was solely ETL testing or something specifically related to SQL. If it was, I would not pursue those interviews, thinking that if I were hardlocked, I wouldn't get released. There are numerous vacancies for Azure data engineers here, and eventually, I found a role in the Europe market. I was able to switch my DU and work with a good tech stack.
