Trending @Accenture; How to avoid being soft lock without discussion

Hi All, Need your help on this , How can I prevent my self from being soft lock from project without proper discussion.

Last time I face same Issue I was willing to join a fin land projects and in between someone soft lock me and they said since you are soft Locked we can not take you cv further .

How can I avoid such situations in order to choose the project in the basis of the my aspirations
