Trending @Accenture; How long I can take a Paternity Leave?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for details about Paternity Leave at Accenture. Specifically, I’d like to know:

  • How long is the paternity leave?

  • Is it paid or unpaid?

  • Are there any conditions or eligibility criteria?

  • Can someone share a link to the official leave policy?

Would really appreciate any insights from current or former employees. Thanks in advance! 😊

Paternity leave is a waste of time. Men should focus on work and providing for their families. Accenture should not encourage such things. Spend your time wisely and earn those rupees.

Dear Sir/Man,

Employees take paternity leave to bond with their newborn, support their partner’s recovery, and manage early childcare responsibilities. It helps maintain work-life balance, reduces stress, and ensures a smoother transition into fatherhood. Additionally, paternity leave allows fathers to assist with legal paperwork, adapt to new routines, and provide emotional support while handling the challenges of sleepless nights and family adjustments. Given the demanding nature of IT jobs, this time off ensures better mental well-being and productivity upon return.

Paternity leave is for 15 working days (it does not include weekend).

You can take it in one go or split it in multiple of 3.

Only condition is you have to utilise it within 6 month of the day you child is born.

Thanks. My manager also told the same but I read somewhere Accenture gives 8 weeks Paternity leave. 15 days is too less. I guess, I have to utilise it by splitting in multiples.
