Has anybody received a public holiday mail declared on the General Election day.?
Location specific holiday based on election date announced in that region
It is a mandatory holiday. I remember holiday being declared for state elections too
Is it a public holiday or needs to be charged under any specific leave category in Timesheet?
Yes receive a mail like that saying govt declared a paid holiday on the date of election. Unfortunately my TL said there is no comp off, leave for us and instead asked us to login by 7pm (My shift starts at 5pm and ends at 2:30am) even though the email said shift starting at or after 7pm on the date of election will operate as normal. Like really WTH!!😑
What if my base location is another city and i fall under Election date constituency can i avail that public holiday leave as I’m WFH currently.
You might get an email before 7-10 days from the election date for your location
