Trending @Accenture; Hey everyone, need some help/advice.

I’m looking to take long leave — around 2 to 2.5 months (starting mid-June or from July 1 till August end). I am okay with unpaid leaves(obviously I wont get paid 2 months leaves), and I really need this break due to personal reasons.

I’ve been with Accenture for less than 9 months (Level 11), and though I’m assigned to a project, I haven’t had any actual work for the last 15 days — not sure how long that will continue.

Does anyone have experience getting this kind of long unpaid leave?

Is it possible to get it without using medical reasons?

If yes, what’s the process and who to contact — manager, HR, or raise through a portal?

If not, has anyone gone the medical route — what kind of medical issues are usually accepted for longer leaves?

I know faking medical is not right, but I’m really stuck and just exploring all options at this point. Any genuine advice or shared experience would really help.

Thanks in advance! 🙏

You can ask for mental wellbeing and talk to your people lead first get approval and then inform the HR lead. Its not a big deal you can get 2 months easily with LOP

Someone I know is on a 2 month break on loss of pay obviously. She had not completed 1 year in Accenture yet when she went on leave and there were no medical reasons. So, yes, it is possible. You will need to speak to your PL and figure out how if he / she is supportive.
