Trending @Accenture; Help Me Make the Most of My Ex Gratia Allocation!

I recently got promoted to TL and received a new - Ex Gratia (Unallocated Fixed Pay) component. As you may know we have the flexibility to allocate it across different salary components, such as:
Basic Salary Personal Allowance House Rent Allowance Other Allowance
While I know there are some eligibility rules like ensuring Basic is at least 35% of total CTC and not less than the previously drawn basic, I'd like to hear about it from you guys who've already done it.
What I'd love your help with:
How did you (or would you) choose to split your Ex Gratia amount?
-
I do not want to put more into PF - it is fixed and I want it that way only.
-
Would allocating more to HRA or Allowances be better?
Has anyone consulted with HR/Finance or a tax advisor and has a smart strategy?
I'm currently leaning toward increasing Basic Salary. Wanted to know what worked best for you. Also any other rules that should be taken care of?
