Trending @Accenture; Got 14 day leave while others not getting 5 days lol 😂

So it was middle of October, and Bangalore was fully buzzing, man. Everyone in office talking about Diwali leaves :who’s getting how many days off, who’s manager is strict, and who’s gonna be stuck working during the festival.

Me? Bro, I had already scored 14 days of leave, full two weeks. Everyone else was still running around trying to convince their managers, but I was already chilling, planning my trip back home.

Accenture is no easy job, yaar. You deal with so many issues, but the real challenge is dealing with your manager, lol. My manager is another level of drama. This guy was always favouring his “special” people in the team. They literally never do anything, but somehow get all the credit.

His style was clear. If you weren’t in his good books, prepare yourself for nightmare projects, weekend calls, and random work dropping in your inbox on Friday evening just when you think you’re done. But if you were one of his special slaves? Life was sorted.

But guess what? I had something on him. Few months ago, there was this massive client issue. One of his “favourite” guys had totally messed up, and the client was ready to fuck shit up. It was a disaster. His career was going to blow up, and his pet was nowhere to be seen. I had to step in, bro and fix the whole thing and saved everyone’s ass.

He owed me BIG time.

Fast forward to now, Diwali leave season. Everyone’s scared of asking for long leave, but I sent my request for 14 days without blinking. Two full weeks. Everyone else was getting just 4 or 5 days max. My manager tried his typical manager talk. “Business needs,” “We’ll see,” blah blah. But I knew he couldn’t say no. If he denied me, I’d bring up the whole client issue.

Got that leave for 14 days while people are asking me what happened.

Sounds like you played your cards right, man. Sometimes you gotta use your leverage to get what you deserve, especially with tricky managers.
