Trending @Accenture; Good idea to switch from Date engineering to SDE ?

I have around 1.7 years of data engineering experience, but I'm now thinking of switching to SDE roles due to the high salary difference I heard between i.e. sde earns a lot

Is this a wise decision in the near future??

It's because many times I heard from my senior colleague and also analysed some data on google stating SDE are paid comparatively way higher than data engineers almost like differs in lakhs

Going through this same question as a fresher, I like Data Engineering but concerned about the Salary Aspect of it and for SDE there is just way too much competition in Market for Full Stack Dev.

If some senior can help out here that would be awesome

Packages in Data engineering is way better than SDE roles and also have good growth. Why do you want to switch from a better role? Also everyone is developer nowadays but demand in data engg is way higher than sde.
