Trending @Accenture; Going to Resign Tomorrow - Need Advice
Hello All, I’ve received an offer letter from TCS and plan to resign tomorrow. Before submitting it in the portal, I want to inform my reporting manager first.
If he asks me to wait while he discusses with management and gets back to me, should I wait or proceed with submitting the resignation? Is there a chance they might roll me off the project immediately to protect project stability, or could they genuinely negotiate or match the offer if there’s dependency on me?
This is my first switch, so I’d appreciate suggestions. I’m open to staying if they can match the offer.
You can drop a formal email to your manager. If he wants to talk, then fine..you can raise the request on exit portal within 7 days wrt your formal communication..in the exit portal, there is a field for notification date where you can provide the date when you formally communicated, notice period will be counted from that day itself.
I have submitted officially in the portal and through email as well today. Notice period starts today. No communication from the project manager till now. Although, my reporting manager said that there is a high chance that my project manager might retain me.
