Trending @Accenture; Finally switching after 8 years

Spent 8 years at Accenture with bad hikes in terms of growth.

Worked day and night, received appreciations from clients/managers but the compensation was very bad with no hikes in 2 years and peanuts this year despite good performance as an SAP Consultant.

Got an offer from TCS at 55% hike and readily resigned. Managers are saying they will send me onsite longterm but very well aware of this technique.

I have 89 days left now, hope I get some better offers over the days.AMA!!

Based on personal experience, TCS offers lower financial growth compared to Accenture. The best performers (A band) receive hikes of 6.5-7%, B band around 5%, and C band just 2%. On average, most employees get a B band, as A bands are rare and often influenced by manager relationships. If your CTC exceeds 15 LPA, a B band is highly likely. Over time, you may regret the financial impact of joining TCS, even though the work pressure is generally lower than at Accenture. While serving your notice period, consider exploring other opportunities.

True. I already have interviews scheduled with PWC/KPMG, hopefully I will be able to crack the interview and get an offer.

But it is still better than working here in Accenture. They can work for another two years and then switch again. :)

What is the retention criteria you have seen in Accenture & if they want to retain what's the maximum they can go?

FuzzyCupcake

In my case, the retention offered was 30% not more than that along with a US onsite promise which I politely declined, my friend who was an ex-accenture employee had revoked his papers, after he was promised 40% hike, they eventually gave him and had to face consequences, including additional tasks, SME support to other projects which was getting very cumbersome!!
