Trending @Accenture; Feeling Stuck at Accenture

I joined Accenture a couple of months ago and am still new to the technology. Unfortunately, instead of helping me get up to speed, my colleague seems more focused on portraying me as an underachiever. Despite my requests for guidance on how things are done here, he assigns me random tasks without any context and then calls attention to my struggles in meetings, making it seem like I'm failing. Worst culture I've ever seen.

Most of the people around are always in search for opportunities to showcase how better they are doing than some one else. Keep focus on learning and keep improving, ignore noise around you. You would gradually catch up. It'll be your time then. You can portrait story how well you caught up.

I can feel you man as I am also in similar situations the strategy I am using currently reaching to different persons if they know any context and if they know will tell them to explain

Faced the same problem when I moved from industry to consulting in Accenture - offcourse I wasn’t been portrayed as underachievers but I used to lose respect in front of everyone.

The only way to get out of this, work the hell out and learn as soon as you can and prove your worth. Takes time but eventually it works out. All the best

Thank you very much! I also transitioned from industry to consulting at Accenture, and I continue to be surprised by the differences in work culture.

This looks like Accenture culture. Focus on your learning and growth. Don't expect much help from colleagues mainly who are with Accenture from longtime. Overtime you will catch up
