Trending @Accenture; Early Release Query

Hey everyone! I started my career at Accenture 3.5 years ago. I had a rocky start because after I went through Green Field Training (Level 11), I was put on bench and randomly assigned to a project that was in under IX manufacturing.

I joined the company at a slighter higher package due to my internships and coding round results, but I have barely been given a coding-related work in the past three years. After I was assigned to that project, I was put together with a batch of people to study and train for a niche technology that is highly abstracted and only used by some very massive companies in the Oil and Gas or Natural Resource industries. I was lucky to be assigned to a relatively chilled out client that uses this obscure tech, and my tenure with them ended this December since they “ran out of funding”. I really liked working with this client, and they gave me good bonuses and a raise + promotion, so they were the only reason I didn’t move out of Accenture.

Now that I am on bench, I got my first offer for a project and it really sucked. Red flags all over. I also find it near impossible to move out of this DU because I have been hard locked to a random project on here till June 2025. I just saw that it’s possible to change my primary skill, so I might consider that if nothing else works out. That being said, I’ve started to look for work outside since I feel trapped and my skills will keep deteriorating if I continue like this. Is it possible to get an early release if I am able to get an offer, since I am still on bench? Also, would it make sense to look for projects with a different skill set internally?
