Trending @Accenture; Doubts regarding Aug-Sept ASE's promotion.

I have seen many ASEs getting promoted in Aug-Sept as they have completed 2 years in Accenture. I have also completed two years since I joined the same date they joined. But for me there is no sign of getting any promotion. I heard now Accenture is not considering a 2 year default promotion. But how others are getting default promotions and not me. I checked with one guy who got promoted. There is no role of their manager as the rewards portal gets updated automatically without their manager's knowledge. So, does anyone have any idea what is going on and on what basis they are deciding whom to promote and whom not if there is no role of project managers.
