Trending @Accenture; Done with 3 month notice period exploitation, can we offer HR this counter argument will work for other company before joining date informal

Can we ask to push the offer letter by 3 months, but I will be available to work for them after one month. You can say moonlighting for two months during the notice period. Is this argument convincing? Do we get any problem

There are a couple of challenges with that.

  1. Your new employer doesn’t know if you will join for sure so they might be hesitant to open up their confidential information and projects to you
  2. When you offer to work for 2 companies in parallel, that sends out a red flag saying this person is not ethical and can work for 2 companies even after joining them

What you can politely ask is if there is a possibility to start the KT with the project team early and any onboarding tasks that you can perform closer to your joining date. But if you still have 2 months or so to join, most big companies will hesitate.
