
In the normal case they don't lay off level 12. In fact they can't even roll off them from the project for a year or so. If you are in project without showing attitude and all you are safe.
There are always possible to have exceptional cases.

They can through PIP. Because it happened with me, so telling from my personal experience it's possible

There are 2 reasons to be put in PIP. Either they want to fire the employee also known as silent firing or the individual really isn't a good employee. In my case, my supervisor and manager harassed me a lot and then put me in PIP since I couldn't be rolled off. The only reason was that they didn't like me.

Associate is the safest profile, associate even don't know how much company cares to them , they get to know their real potential once they are no more ase

As an associate who was put in PIP just because the supervisor didn't like me, I disagree that associate is a safe profile. Even I was told that no one can put an associate in PIP, but then it happened and everyone in my project were also shocked.

No . First to go will be higher levels who don’t have any client billabilty. Don’t worry about lay off just keep learning and show keep good attitude for learning . They even can’t be roll off from project.level 12 will get more chances and it’s one of the perk of that level

No never unless until they fail to pass exam , earlier it used to gft but also they give 2-3 chances .
Or there could be case when ASE does un ethical things like i heard there were some ase from pune location what they did they got to know some project wbse they started sending recog points to one another, and greedy becomes high for them they accumulated of 5 lakh -10lakh rps coupon even sometimes get out the voucher, last once audit comes they get caught , all of them are asked to write apology, next day they got email from Hr to pack their bag and go out from here, this was narrated by one my junior ASE , and all folks were his frnds and colleagues who joined together.
