Trending @Accenture; Different people of same project treating people differently

In a project call last week they asked questions about database and I answered but at last I told my language is python but I'll learn Java if needed so they said they need people with Java and for my colleague with same project different person he said that she needs to learn Java and they can reconnect again. So, like what went wrong from my side because she too wasn't aware about it but they told her that she can learn but not the same for me
