
Trending @Accenture; Dealing with a Toxic Manager – Need Advice
I’m struggling with my current manager. He never acknowledges my efforts but is quick to point out my flaws—like taking extra time on tasks, waiting for stakeholder clarity, or carrying tasks forward to the next sprint. For him, everything must be done within the sprint, no exceptions.
He often holds one-on-one sessions just to criticize me, and daily stand-ups feel like a way to make me doubt myself rather than align the team. I don’t see a future for growth under him, and I highly doubt he would ever promote me.
Should I leave this project, or is there a better way to handle this situation?

Just take roll off from project and talk to HR and nowadays those who managers from Hyderabad they are doing like this and not sure why ???

Mid-term Appraisal cycle is in June. If I leave this project then in the project for the appraisal my new People Lead will ask me to get my old People Lead's feedback which I know he will give negative feedback. This manager is not from Hyderabad though and all of the team members are working from different locations.

The HR is another toxic person. She has rejected my exception request.
This looks like a clear violation of Accenture's conduct rules, they recently had a survey about it, not sure how to report about such behavior

I have no problem if my People Lead wants to check on the status of my tasks. The problem is that he is not much concerned about others that much. He expects to update the board before the stand-up on how many tasks has been completed. He even tracks how many minutes I took to respond to someone's text on Teams. Maybe he is doing his job but the tone and the way he talks as if he holds a lot of grudges for me.

It is better to get Roll off from the project or try outside.

Just draft mail to HR what you are facing is waiting for a response if not received ask them to change my project and write the next mail to Accenture leadership and show them a mail chain of HR as well and share the concern of the issue you have with your manager

I think you can politely inform him that you feeling stressed in the project and burning out, and see how he is responding. If the situation worsens reach out to skip level manager with same concern that you are burning out but not as a complaint. Also, is this just you getting this feeling or others in your team as well?
