Trending @Accenture; Cross skill or change domain

Hi All,

I’m currently working as an Oracle Apps DBA at Accenture, with 4 years of experience in this role and 8.5 years of overall industry experience. Lately, I’ve been thinking more about job security and long-term career growth in my current role.

I’d appreciate your insights on whether Oracle Apps DBA continues to have strong future prospects, or if it would be wise to consider switching to another technology or domain.

If cross-skilling is recommended, what would be some good areas to explore?

Also, is it possible within Accenture to get assigned to projects in a new domain without prior hands-on experience in that area?
