Trending @Accenture; Complaint regarding disrespectful behaviour
Hi all, I am an SSE with 3+ years of experience in Accenture. I have been working on the same project. My people lead is my associate manager but another team lead is handling the delivery side. I have been getting disrespectful remarks from another team lead like "are you mad" and similar kinds of phrases if I express any dissent or disagreement since last year when that person got promoted.
Last Thursday, I had a disagreement over the ownership of a bug with another dev team. This person did not support me and I was left out resolving the issue alone. I fortunately convinced another team with my analysis but yesterday, that person again disrespected me because I wanted to log off 1 hour early. So, I dropped an email to the Manager and associate manager with all the proof of disrespectful behaviour. Now, I'm thinking like why did I do that and life was so peaceful before this even though I was getting gaslighted. Shall I back off from this move?

Try outside and maintain your peace with you.
Always follow below Rules
Rule 1 : Never Ever argue with Cheap fcuking people.
Rule 2 : Follow Rule 1

Thanks

I agree completely. There was a team who raised behavioural issues in regards to a SSE but the client was getting a person who was frustrated working 20 hrs per day for a SE salary. The DU lead supported that person while he insulted him over one to one call. He was kicked out later almost two years later when they found a person who was able to handle half his efforts. But it's useless to argue until it comes to bad behaviour against clients or very senior managers. HRs are all puppets of DU leads and Senior managers.

Don't ever back off. Keep the proof with you and ideally your manager should get you the apology in writing. If not reach out to HR. But DONT BACK OFF. GET IT IN WRITING. I have done that and trust me you need that closure to work peacefully again.

Thanks for your support.

Nah don't back off. You did right. Disrespectful behaviour is not good and it should be reported.

Never back down in front of bullies. You did a good thing by raising concerns, some fight you to fight for self respect.
If the manager doesn't support raise grievances also. You can get a hike during job change also, but once you lose your morale and self respect, it will never come back.

What is done is done , some time a honest a one to one could have settled the matter .
But may be his behaviour is more because you don't acknowledge him as lead he is lead by position , respect his opinion . If you have diff opinion then may be present to him one to one, rather then calling out in a group.

Never mentioned i called him out in a group? This conversation always has been one to one only.

Yooo man … simply exit from the project and search for new project …

If the person belong to Andra then write directly mentioning that linguistic discrimination like that and I see lot of people Andra filled with same project they do like this .
Please escalate this and no fear
If you scared to escalate or don’t have guts then keep quite then switch it

No one in this world have right to disrespect other person so if someone is doing let them taste their own medicine so never back off

Dont back off it will weaken your position in future.
